Getting Started

Welcome to Trevor AI! This quick start guide will get you planning your day in under 5 minutes.

Step 1: Sign Up

Go to app.trevorai.com and create an account. You can sign up with Google, Microsoft, Facebook, or Email.

Step 2: Connect a Calendar

Trevor AI works best when connected to your existing calendar. During the onboarding walkthrough (or later via Account Settings):

  1. Click Connect next to Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple iCloud, or CalDAV.
  2. Sign in and grant permissions.
  3. In Calendar Options, choose which calendars to show and set one as your Scheduling Calendar — this is where scheduled tasks will appear.

Without a connected calendar, tasks are scheduled to an internal "Trevor AI" calendar that's only visible within the app. See Integrations for details on each provider.

Step 3: Create Your First Task

In the Task Hub (left panel), type a task title into the Add New Task field and press Enter. For example: "Prepare project proposal". Trevor's AI will automatically assign a predicted duration.

You can also:

  • Type # followed by a list name to assign the task to a specific list.
  • Include a date/time in natural language, like "Review budget tomorrow at 2pm", to create and schedule it in one step.

Step 4: Schedule It

There are several ways to schedule a task — pick whichever feels most natural:

  • Drag & drop the task from the Task Hub into your calendar at the desired time.
  • Click the scheduling icon on the task to see smart scheduling suggestions, then click your preferred time slot.
  • Hover over the scheduling icon to preview the AI's top suggestion in your timeline, then long-press to accept it instantly.
  • Ask the AI Chat Assistant — open the chat (bottom-right) and say something like "Schedule Prepare project proposal for tomorrow at 2pm". The AI can also auto-schedule multiple tasks at once. See AI Chat Assistant for more.

Your scheduled task now appears as a calendar event, synced to your scheduling calendar. See Scheduling for all scheduling methods.

Step 5: See It on Your Calendar

Switch to your calendar app (Google Calendar, Outlook, iCloud, etc.) — you'll see the scheduled task there too, synced in real-time. Any changes you make in Trevor are reflected in your calendar, and vice versa.

What's Next?

  • Plan your whole day — Try the Plan My Day widget ( icon, top-left of calendar) to auto-schedule multiple tasks at once.
  • Chat with Trevor — Open the AI Chat Assistant (floating button, bottom-right) and type things like "Schedule my top 3 tasks for this afternoon".
  • Connect task apps — Sync tasks from Todoist, Google Tasks, or Microsoft To Do to schedule them in your calendar.
  • Track progress — Check the Progress & Reports dashboard to see your scheduling habits over time.
  • Morning briefing — Enable the Start My Day email for a daily digest with your plan and AI coaching.
